It just takes time and patience and you can usually locate them. There is the chance a manufacturer stops supporting a device and no longer carries the driver and then you will rely on a 3rd party site to supply older drivers. Now the other option is not free but will save you a lot of hassle. There is an automatic driver update application which I have been using and I love it.
